What is a Communication Theory class like?
I’m taking my first communication studies class next semsester so I wad wondering what I could expect this type of course to be like. I may do a Communication studies minor if I like this class
Well considering I probably don’t go to thesame school as you, our classes might be a little different than yours. In our communications class, it was mostly about effective speaking, etiquette (eye contact, ect), speechmaking, interview skills, writing, resume skills, and a bunch of other things. For the final, we had to present a topic of our choice (could be anything, somebody even chose CocaCola). Another project we did was sending a letter to a famous person (again, could be anyone – George Lucas, Micheal jordan, famous actor, ect.) and ask for them to provide a signature and photo. You were graded on the effectiveness of your letter, but not on whether they replied or not. (considering that is completely by chance). There will probably be some variations between your communication class and ours, but this is mostly a second-hand account. If you really want to find out what yours could be like, find someone that took the class before, and ask them about it and whats it like. I’m sure a bunch of people took it in your school!
